This article explains the Katalys Marketing Platform’s basic information architecture to explain how membership, access, and relationships between entities are structured.
How Account Membership Works
Account membership is always granted at the Organization level, with different permissions for each user role: Admin, Member, or Guest.
-
Members of an Organization automatically have visibility and access to all Profiles, Programs, and/or Traffic Sources owned by that Organization.
-
There are different permission sets for each assigned user role: Admin, Member, or Guest.

How API Access Works
API Keys are also granted at the Organization level.
-
The API key will have read/write access to all data owned by the Organization.

How Traffic Sources and Programs Connect
-
Partner-Initiated: Partner’s Traffic Source applies to join a Program → Advertiser approves or denies the application.
-
Advertiser-Initiated: Advertiser invites a Partner’s Traffic Source to join their Program→ Partner accepts or rejects the invitation to join.
